How can we help?

Answers to common questions about audits, Shopify compatibility, scoring, and your subscription.

Audits

What does an audit check?

Six categories: technical, SEO, performance, mobile UX, product, and conversion. See the full breakdown in the Documentation.

Is my first audit really free?

Yes — no account or credit card required for your first scan.

Can I re-run an audit after making changes?

Yes. Run again from your dashboard, and EcomWebCheck shows exactly what changed since your last scan — the score delta plus which issues were resolved and which are new.

Shopify compatibility

Does it work with any Shopify theme?

Yes. Checks run against the rendered page in a real browser, independent of which theme you're using.

Does it work on stores that aren't on Shopify?

The crawler and most checks (technical, SEO, performance, mobile UX) run on any storefront. Product and conversion checks are most accurate on Shopify's standard URL structure.

Scan duration

How long does a scan take?

Most scans complete within a few minutes.

Why did my scan take longer than expected?

Larger stores with more pages take longer, since every page is loaded in a real browser rather than a lightweight fetch.

Access requirements

Do you need my Shopify admin login?

No — never. EcomWebCheck only reads your storefront's public pages, the same way a customer's browser would.

Do I need to create an account?

Not for your first free scan. An account is needed to save scan history, track more than one store, and compare audits over time.

Scoring

How is my Store Health Score calculated?

A weighted average of your six category scores. See the full explanation in how scoring works.

Why did my score change even though I didn't touch my theme?

A rescan reflects your store's current live state — if something changed on the store itself (a link broke, a page moved), the score reflects that. Informational findings never affect your score either way.

Page limits

How many pages does a scan cover?

Each scan crawls a bounded number of pages so results come back quickly rather than running indefinitely on very large catalogs.

How many stores and audits can I track?

That depends on your plan. See the pricing page for exact store and monthly-audit limits per plan.

Subscriptions

What plans are available?

Free ($0), Pro ($29/month), and Agency ($99/month) — each with a different number of stores and audits per month.

How do I upgrade or change plans?

From your dashboard's Billing page. Upgrading opens a secure Stripe Checkout; you're only ever charged for the plan you confirm.

Cancellations

How do I cancel my subscription?

From your dashboard's Billing page, open Manage subscription, then Cancel. Your plan stays active until the end of your current billing period — you're not cut off immediately.

Will I lose my data if I cancel?

No. Cancelling never deletes your existing stores or scan history. Once you're back on the Free plan, you just won't be able to add new stores or audits beyond the Free plan's limits until you're under them again.

Troubleshooting

My scan won't start / says the URL is invalid.

Make sure the URL includes https:// and points to a store that's publicly reachable — not a password-protected or staging-only page.

Why was my scan blocked?

EcomWebCheck only scans public-facing storefronts. Scans targeting local, private, or non-public network addresses are blocked as a security precaution.

I'm being rate-limited.

A per-account limit protects the scanning infrastructure from abuse. Wait a few minutes and try again, or check whether you've reached your plan's monthly audit allowance on the Billing page.
